Many
a times we face lot of problems while opening oracle application in the
browser. So here are some solutions
If
you are trying to open R12 Oracle Applications in Google Chrome, you may get
the following error:
FRM-92120
Registry file Registry.dat is missing in R12
Add the
following extension: Oracle EBS
R12&11i Enablement for Chrome 0.1.2.
The
extension is available in the following url:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/oracle-ebs-r1211i-enablem/ekkagabmggbmpmncofhgkfigmeldifnc
After
the extension, is added you can directly open the URL of the application.
Following are some IE setups that will set
the environment to open R12 Oracle Applications
Internet Browser Settings
1.
Under your Internet Explorer, go to Menu -> Tools -> Internet Options
-> Security Tab. Under Local
Intranet, click on ‘Custom Level’.

Security Settings, ensure you have the following settings:
3. After
applying, click OK. Restart your browser
to have settings take effect.
Accessing the Application via URL
Due
to the security settings, the following window will appear after you click on
the link for the application.
Hit
‘OK’ to proceed.
Note: If you have
Internet Explorer at a higher version than 6, you will get a different message
on the IE page. Irregardless, click on
OK or YES to continue on any message you see regarding security.
Internet
Explorer 8 users will see this screen:
Click
on ‘Continue to this website’.
Java Runtime Environment – Optimal version
for Oracle R12.
We
have noted that there are some incompatibilities for the Java Runtime
Environment Versions that cause some unexpected forms errors for R12. Please
follow the directions below to install the optimal version of the runtime
environment to avoid any unexpected forms errors within the application.
Installing JRE 1.6.0_17
- Please
download the jre 1.6.0_17 from the following link.
- In the above
page give the following details and click on continue
-- Platform –
Windows
-- Please accept
the license agreement by clicking on the checkbox and click on continue (do not
enter username or password).
- It will take you to the next page. Download the jre-6u17 – windows-i586.exe with size of 15.90 Mb
- Download the jre-6u17 – windows-i586.exe file to your Desktop.
- Now go to Start à Settings à Control Panel à Add or Remove Programs
- Remove all the
existing java updates from your system.
Eg: Here in the above screenshot you
see like there was an Java 6 update 2.
As you will be
installing the latest version than the update you see there. Please remove the
existing update by clicking on remove button.
Note: Please
remove all the existing Java updates from Add or Remove programs.
- Now after removing the existing updates, double-click on the you downloaded to your Desktop ( jre-6u17 – windows-i586.exe).
- Click RUN to install the software.
